Did I lose you with the above equation? Well we all know that Google Chromium is Google’s OS that is essentially an operating system that boots straight into a browser and uses the “cloud” for storage. And as we read yesterday the “JooJoo” will be an internet tablet featuring a similiar browser operating system.
Well if you want a very simple equivalent to both of these and can’t wait then there is a new Firefox extension called “Blump’it” that basically imitates both of these systems. It is a browser/OS hybrid that lets you run apps straight from the web through its interface.
It’s made for tablet like devices without physical keyboards (hence the on-screen keyboard) and it also adds touch-friendly gesture support for its onscreen icons and such.
It includes several widgets like weather, email, news, and a photo viewer, and there are also games and other so-called BlumpsApps available for installation.
