I received an interesting email from Microsoft this morning letting me know that the beta release SDK for the Atom developer program is ready to be downloaded. If you aren’t familiar with the Atom developer program it’s kind of like Apple’s app store for netbooks. There is a developer program in which you can create apps and then will be able to share in the profits when the store is released.
The alpha version was made available for download earlier, but it had very limited functionality and the beta should run a little smoother. Currently the SDK supports C/C++ apps for both Windows and Moblin Linux. I guess it’s time to brush up on my mad coding skills.
You can download the SDK here.
