Today Gateway introduced the Gateway EC14D01h netbook in Canada. Actually you could call it an “ultraportable” due to its built-in dvd drive and a high price tag of $579, but it really blurs the line between the two.
It’s still very lightweight at 3.5lbs and has a very “netbook like” screen size of 11.6″. Here are the full specs:

This ultraportable is great if you want the portability of a netbook with an optical drive, as well as more processing power and graphics performance. The price isn’t too bad either considering what you get.
It’s going to be available later this month for around $579.
