Gigabyte has recently listed a new convertible netbook on their product pages, the T1000. It is the updated model of the T1028 featuring the Pinetrail processor, and they’ve also added a chiclet keyboard.
Here are the specs:
- 10.1” 1366 x 768 HD display
- Atom N450 / N470 processors
- Windows 7 Starter
- 1GB RAM
- GMA 3150 graphics
- 250GB HDD
- 2x USB, eSATA / USB combo, audio jacks, VGA, express card, card reader
- Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
- 1.3M Webcam
- Gigabit LAN
- 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi
Also note that there are 2 models, the T1000X with single touch and 4 cell battery, and the T1000P with multitouch and a 6 cell battery. We can also assume that the T1000P version will ship with Windows 7 Home Premium to take advantage of the multitouch functions.
The color is also a “gold” now instead of a “brown” but other than that no major changes have been made, besides adopting a Terminatoresque naming convention.
Also note that Gigabyte has since taken down the listing but you can still see it in Google’s cached results here.
No word yet on price or availability.
