Engadget came across some interesting documents today from HP that shows how their upcoming Slate tablet will be better (or worse) than the much-hyped new iPad.
As you can see they’ve highlighted what they view as advantages and disadvantages in red and green. Here are the full specs:
- Processor: Intel Atom Z530 1.6GHz
- Display: 8.9″ 1024 x 600 capacitive MT, with stylus support
- Intel UMA graphics, 1080p playback
- RAM: 1GB non-upgradeable
- 802.11 b/g wifi + 3G
- Windows 7 Home Premium + custom UI
- 5+ hour battery life
- VGA webcam (front facing) + 3MP camera (rear facing
- Price: $549-$599
From the looks of it the HP Slate will be a likely contender in the new tablet pc race, but still no word on a release date.
