According to a new report by ABI research netbook sales will jump from 36 million units sold in 2009 to almost 60 million in 2010. Even with the Apple iPad slightly cutting into sales (but not much) it looks like netbooks will continue to gain market share. So far the key to success has been their low price, long battery life and portability. Their main downside has been the sluggish processors and poor video performance but some of the new netbooks look to fix that.
So it looks like netbooks aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. Oh, and remember this guy?
