Asus has announced 3 new netbooks at CEbit today, and they are pretty close to the leaked info we heard about last week. Here are the new models:
Asus Eee PC 1201PN HD
- 12.1” 1366 x 768 display
- Atom N450 processor
- Nvidia next generation ION
- 1GB RAM
- 160GB HDD + 500GB online storage
- 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
- 6-cell 63Wh Li-ion battery (battery life not announced)
- HDMI out


Asus Eee PC 1016P
- 10.1” 1024 x 600 matte display
- Intel Atom N450 / N455 processor
- 1GB RAM
- 160GB / 250GB HDD
- 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 / Bluetooth 3.0
- 9 hour battery (6-cell 63Wh, li-ion battery)
- 7.5 hour battery (6-cell 47Wh, li-ion battery)
- 3G, WiMAX


Asus Eee PC 1018P
- 10.1” 1024 x 600 glossy display
- Intel Atom N455 / N475 processor
- 1GB RAM
- 160GB / 250GB HDD
- 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
- 6.5 hour battery (44Wh, li-poly battery)
- 3G
- fingerprint scanner



As you can see these netbooks each have their own strongpoints, but they all add brushed aluminum cases and thin form factors. You’ll also notice that the 1018P and 1016P add support for the new N455 and N475 Atom processors, which will add support for DDR3 RAM.
These netbooks will be very nice improvements on the current models and we’ll be looking forward to pricing, availability and of course hands on testing.

bah where are the ssd-options? I’d rather go for a truly mobile netbook then get lots of gb’s…
