Notion Ink Adam tablet getting closer

Remember the Notion Ink Adam tablet we heard about earlier this year? It was the first tablet to have an Nvidia Tegra 2 chip architecture and a pixel QI display. Well after many delays it looks like it’s one step closer to hitting the streets with the release of a new website for the tablet along with a full feature list.

One nice addition is a sim card slot, meaning the Notion tablet will have 3G capabilities. This will include high speed browsing, of course, but could also mean that there could be voice calling capabilities possible using a paired headset.

There are also updated options for 2 different display choices, one being the Pixel QI e-ink display and the other (cheaper) option being a normal capacitive touchscreen. Here are the rest of the specs:

  • Display: 10.1″ LCD or Pixel Qi e-ink
  • Processor: dual core ARM Cortex A9
  • GPU: Nvidia Tegra 2
  • Memory: 16 or 32GB flash
  • 802.11 b/g wifi, bluetooth 2.1
  • HSDPA wireless, 3G
  • HDMI out
  • microSD slot
  • 3.2MP swivel camera
  • 3-axis accelerometer, A-GPS

No word yet on pricing or release date, but we can guess it won’t be cheap.

*update- they now offer a 64GB option on the flash drive, and the cheapest option will start around $330!
