The Notion Ink Adam tablet pc was announced at CES, and has created alot of buzz since then. Here’s a mockup of what the Adam might look like running the Rainmeter cms:
Here’s what we do know, it runs on Google’s Android OS and uses the Nvidia Tegra (2?)chipset. It also features Pixel Qi’s innovative low power display for longer battery life.
Will it be an iPad killer? The comparisons say “yes”; with the Pixel Qi display and Nvidia Tegra chipset the Notion Adam tablet will last 2x to 3x as long as the iPad with the same battery. Also the Tegra allows for HD video out, compared to the iPad’s 480p component out.
It will be very interesting to see the final price and release date for this one, and what it can do in real life testing.
Here’s a hands on:

slow and buggy. Needs a lot of work before they can launch the product.
should be much quicker (I hope) by release time- probably pre-beta software
Day 1 purchase. The device specs are absolutely perfect.
I would prefer more squarish screen. It’s hard to view A4 PDFs on 1024×600.
1024×600 is the standard 9:16 HD fab that keeps the Pixel Qi screen low-cost. The unused non-A4 portion of the screen may have other uses soon.
OS belong to google, the hardware belongs to probably taiwanese. What is the innovation which is brought out is not clear.
