Toshiba has announced today that by year’s end they will release a new 10.1″ tablet pc that runs on the Google Android OS. The tablet will be available in Europe, the Middle East and Africa but no word on whether they will sell in the US or Japan.
Here are some specs:
- Nvidia Tegra 2 processor
- 10.1″ 1024×600 capacitive multitouch screen
- OS: Android 2.2 Froyo with custom skin
- 16GB internal storage w/ microSD (up to 32GB extra)
- 1.3MP webcam
- Bluetooth, HDMI out, USB port
- up to 7 hour battery life
The Folio 100 supports Flash player and has an embedded webcam, and the Wifi only version will sell for around $399 Euros. Will be shipping by year’s end (but not in US).
