PCmag has gotten their hands on a pre-release version of the Toshiba Mini NB305, which is basically a spruced up version of their NB205 with a Pine Trail processor. They also replaced the battery with one that doesn’t stick so far out the back (it sticks down instead) and a few more indicator led’s on the front. Here are the specs:
- Processor: Intel N450 1.67GHz Pine trail
- Intel GMA3150 graphics
- 1GB RAM
- 250GB hd
- 10.1″ 1024 x 600 resolution
- weight: 2.6lbs
Toshiba had the NB205 so close to perfect that they decided to keep it that way which is good. They kept the same textured fingerprint resistant lid as well as the very nice keyboard and oversized trackpad. The price is $400 for the colored versions (blue, brown, or white) or $350 for a glossy black (Fusion) model. Not sure why it’s $50 cheaper but I would rather have a blue one myself and save the 50.
