The Asus Eee PC 1025C is now available for purchase in the US, making it the second Cedar Trail netbook from Asus.

Like the Eee PC X101CH, the new netbook has a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N2600 dual core processor and a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, as well as 1GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive.

The Eee PC 1025C has 3 USB ports rather than 2, and in some regions Asus offers a model with a USB 3.0 port. The computer also has a 6 cell battery instead of a 3 cell which should provide at least twice as much battery life as some models. This should be good for around 6 hours of heavy use, and 9 or more of light use.

The Eee PC X1025C also has metallic panels on the side which make it look a little classier.

There is unfortunately no RAM access port on the bottom of the netbook, so you’re basically stuck with the 1GB of RAM unless you want to start taking things apart. If you’ve done this kind of thing before it’s really not too bad, but you’ll have to completely disassemble the netbook and even remove the keyboard to get to it. If you’re going to go to the trouble you might as well stick an SSD drive in there and have a screaming maching.

It includes an hdmi out port as well, and has the instant on feature OS feature as well running along side Windows 7 Home Premium.

The best thing about the 1025C though is the price, which is $299 from Amazon in either white or black.
