Toshiba Folio 100 Tablet PC announced

Toshiba has announced today that by year’s end they will release a new 10.1″ tablet pc that runs on the Google Android OS. The tablet will be available in Europe, the Middle East and Africa but no word on whether they will sell in the US or Japan.

Samsung Galaxy Tab now official

Samsung officially debuted their new Galaxy Tab yesterday and it looks pretty nice. Here are the full specs:

  • processor: Cortex A8 1GHz
  • display: 7″ 1024×600 capacitive multitouch
  • OS: Android 2.2 Froyo
  • 802.11n Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth 3.0
  • full quad-band GDSM/EDGE and tri-band 900/1900/2100 7.2Mbps HSDPA (no AT&T for now)
  • 3 megapixel camera on the back with a flash and auto-focus, and a 1.3 megapixel user-facing camera
  • accelerometer
  • 32GB of internal memory, up to 32GB with microSD, 512MB of RAM

What’s nice is that it included Android 2.2 right out of the box so there’s full flash support.

Acer Aspire One D255 Dual Core netbook avialable now

The Acer Aspire One D255 is the first netbook to feature the dual-core N550 Atom processor that is available for purchase. Somehow the Home Shopping Network secured the rights as the first stop for this netbook, but I’m sure it will be available at other retailers shortly.

The new dual-core Intel Atom N550 processor started shipping today, and new netbooks will be coming soon from Acer, ASUS, Fujitsu, Lenovo, LG, Samsung, MSI, and Toshiba featuring the faster processor.

HTC Google Chrome tablet launching November 26th (Black Friday) on Verizon

According to a report from the download squad HTC is planning a new iPad competitor that runs the Google Chrome OS and will launch on Verizon networks on Black Friday. This is big news and according to a reputable “source” it’s the real deal and the tablet is already made and ready to go.

The next-generation metal covered Asus 1018P netbook is finally available for order on Amazon. The only problem is that it shows the shipping date as 1-2 months; now that’s alot of backorders. Checkout the review here.

The price is listed at $527.80 which is a little on the high side of current models, but you get some beefier specs including usb 3.0 and of course the sleek metal case.

Notion Ink Adam tablet getting closer

Remember the Notion Ink Adam tablet we heard about earlier this year? It was the first tablet to have an Nvidia Tegra 2 chip architecture and a pixel QI display. Well after many delays it looks like it’s one step closer to hitting the streets with the release of a new website for the tablet along with a full feature list.

One nice addition is a sim card slot, meaning the Notion tablet will have 3G capabilities. This will include high speed browsing, of course, but could also mean that there could be voice calling capabilities possible using a paired headset.

There are also updated options for 2 different display choices, one being the Pixel QI e-ink display and the other (cheaper) option being a normal capacitive touchscreen. Here are the rest of the specs:
