The chip features 2 1.5GHz cores with 512KB of L2 cache, as well as hyperthreading. The hyperthreading feature will make the processor actually act like 4 cores, and should provide a needed boost to processing speeds.

Another new netbook to feature this processor is the Asus Eee PC 1215n. No word yet on whether the D255 will feature Optimus switching technology like the 1215n, but hopefully it will.

No word yet on price or release date but we’ll keep you posted.

The 10.1″ display and keyboard remain the same, but the internals have been changed for the better. Here are the specs:

  • Processor: AMD V105 (1.2GHz, DDR3 support)
  • AMD M880G chipset
  • Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics (1080p HD playback capable)
  • HDMI out
  • 7 hour battery life
  • Bluetooth 3.0+HS (optional)

They’ve also added a new compact and lightweight power adapter, which I think all manufacturers should do. Here are some more pics:

It has several interesting new features including a 3G modem and what appears to be an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. It also has a nice textured surface on the top to keep away the fingerprints.

Here are the specs that we can gather from the photos:

  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo
  • Ram: up to 4GB
  • OS: Windows 7
  • Display: 11.6″
  • ports: 3 x usb, VGA, HDMI out
  • 802.11 b/g/n wifi, 3G hspa wireless
  • 160GB hd

This netbook is actually part of the “Timeline” series so it will be a little pricier than your average Aspire One, but as you can see by the specs you get a whole lot more for your money. Here are some more pics:

2 RAM slots, for up to 4GB of RAM.

They still stuck with the old style of keyboard, but with all of the other features this will be a very nice netbook when it comes out.

*update*  This netbook will feature an Intel Core i5-520UM processor which varies from 1GHz to 1.86GHz depending on usage and is called the Acer Aspire One 1830T- via slashgear
